What we have done for other people
Wonersh Park | Bramley | Farnham
Wonersh Park
This well-established and highly sought after area has a mix of house styles on plots of different sizes and shapes. This property was very appealing to look at from the outside, but lacked space downstairs for a very hospitable family who enjoy entertaining but who also run a business from home.
The brief was to provide an enlarged dining room which could also be used as a home office without the work area dominating the house.
The exterior needed to keep its cottagey looks, but also maintain enough garden space around the house.
The result is an extension indistinguishable from the original house, right down to the traditional brickwork and tile hung roof.
Large parties have space to spread out, and the business has room to flourish too.

Bramley
Finding your dream house is never easy, which is why many of our clients choose something close to their dream and then improve upon it.
That was the case for this 1960’s family house, which just didn’t have a big enough kitchen for a fabulous cook. What started as a brief for a larger kitchen turned into a single storey extension across the whole length of the house, allowing for a much more attractive internal room layout.
Imaginative use of space has given the family an interconnecting dining room and living room which overlook the stunning garden, and a kitchen fit for a top chef too.

Farnham
More often than not, people love where they live, just not the house they live in. And the house they buy as newlyweds seldom fits the bill when they have children. This house in Farnham is in the perfect location for local schools, but didn’t have enough space for two growing boys and a home based business.
By knocking down the original garage (only large enough for a 1930’s car in any case), it was possible to replace it with two new bedrooms, a large kitchen, a utility room and a garage that a modern car actually fits in.
The bonus was a clever adjustment to the internal room layout downstairs which moved the living room to the back of the house, overlooking the garden instead of the road. Even better, a new sloping roof was added to a previous very ugly extension, while new windows in traditional style gave huge appeal to the back of the house as well.
This was an attractive house to start with and it was vital to keep its good looks. By incorporating details such as an oriel window, the new section looks original and is in keeping with other houses in the area.
